Old world diner
I agree with Kimberly, their fish sandwich is great. while I've never had chili fries there, I have had fries and I have had chili.
No wifi
The breakfast here is awesome. It's hard to find a place that makes a good corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy. Chef's coffee shop does a great job with both. Their pancakes are decent. Staff is friendly and the regulars who inhabit the diner in the afternoon give the place a grandparent's house atmosphere. I would definitely prefer this place over Dennys.
We were hungry and driving by and looked up and saw the sign. What a great place to stumble upon. The staff was fun and welcoming. The biscuits and gravy was completely off the chain... perfect! This is absolutely an old-fashioned home cooked meal. If you like leftovers you will definitely take some home.
My go to breakfast food spot. Bomb Belgian waffles and overall good deal. The coffee is amazing as well.
I have been stopping by Chefs since I was a toddler. All the breakfast options are incredible and served all day. If I go out for breakfast, I almost always make it a point to stop by here. The staff are also friendly and make the experience.
Good down to earth meals. Everything I've had here has been good. Fast seating
Will be hard to beat today's breakfast, unless we come back tomorrow.
Cute place. The pictures I'd seen didn't do it justice. The food was good. My tuna melt was unlike anywhere else I've had it. It was like a tuna salad melt which was interestingly tasty. The service was good. The server wasn't particularly friendly but she did her job promptly and efficiently. Would definitely come back.
I've been the twice & both time I went the service was excellent & the food was very good.
Corn beef hash , 2 over easy eggs hash browns cup of coffee that makes your day .
Homestyle cooking, with the best biscuits and gravy.
Love Love everything on the menu. Dessert is also delicious
Great February Valentine's Day Special. Love the Lava Cale A La Mode! ;-)
The AYCE beef ribs on Saturdays is okay but they were rather overly fatty and too cooked so that there wasn't much bite to them. Maybe they were sitting for awhile because the ribs got better after a reorder or two. The soups are good if you like em' thick i.e. more like porridge or stew with little broth. The clam chowder needs more clam juice and less flour in the roux. Or maybe just cooking it better. It had a heavy flour undertone. Don't forget to leave space for homemade (on premises) pie. The atmosphere is of a local family place. Comfortable, cozy and friendly staff. I have been going to since I was a kid with my parents some 40 plus years ago.
Wow! This place was absolutely amazing. The service was top notch, food came super fast, prices were great, portions were big, and most of all the food was super tastey. I will be coming back to this place for sure .
My boyfriend always go for their breakfast burrito, BEST ONE OUT THERE! It's truly a gem of a restaurant. Service is great too. Oh! And their pies!? To die for
Great comfort food and service was good. We had a big group and Maribel was very attentive and courteous.
An average dinner, friendly service with down home cooking. I ordered the Texas Omelette, and it would have been very good, but there were egg shells all over the thing haha! Decent cup of coffee that won't ever be half empty. Note they do take credit cards, but as of March 1st, they charge a .50 fee. Parking is limited, so good luck!
A place to enjoy a great breakfast & friends.
The food is delicious and they have great friendly service. The foods always warm. They have great prices.
It's been around forever. Good food. My husband loves their LIVER AND ONIONS HE LOVES THAT DINNER
Great service, great food at reasonable prices!
The French toast were so good. The waitress was great and coffee was good. I would go here again. It's a cozy mom and pop place with good breakfast and decent prices
Good service and prices
Breakfast is good, and the service is nice. I really enjoy Michelle, one of the servers. She is really good with filling up your coffee and a great personality
Came her today with the family after my son's open house. The outside is very welcoming the staff is very very nice. Our waitress was great and very attentive. The food was uhm , it was okay. I dont think we plan on coming back. Only because it was kind of pricey and the food was olay. But hey to each their own. Just because it wasn't out cup of tea doesn't mean you won't like it. So yeah try it. You might like itOh also I got a small salad and it was almost 9$ that's kinda crazy right?
In my family, we all like breakfast for dinner once in a while. This is a great home town feeling cafe. May be due for an update, but at the same time, the decor adds to the vintage feel. Many patrons seem to know the staff and visa versa. Standard coffee shop fare, usually a baseball or football game on, great pie! Very family friendly and comfortable. Generally quite busy on weekend mornings. Plenty of parking.
We have a long wait when there were Empty Tables available and when my mother put in her name they didn't write it down so people in behind us where in front of us and I asked for over medium eggs and as you can see in the picture they were over easy I also asked for crispy hash browns and they didn't do that it took us a long time to get a cup of coffee but a busboy when ask immediately brought us a cup of coffee the biscuits and gravy were kind of runny and so so the salsa that they have is kind of not really spicy I didn't ask him to fix everything because I didn't want to wait any longer for I was starving and when I fat person wants to eat it's now hahaha
Nice services and food. A breakfast place of the neighborhood.
It was my first time here and I'm definitely coming back😁👍
This is a great local diner with a hometown feeling. The staff is friendly along with the clientele. The menu has a good selection of favorites to choose from.
I don't like leaving bad reviews but i just had to for this one. My husband and I saw that it had great reviews online on Google so we decided to give it a try. Walking in it was very full but we didn't have to wait long. The waitress was nice she was very kind and helpful but the food was not good at all. While waiting for the food I noticed how dirty it was and how badly it needed to be updated. The carpet looked very dirty the seats were dirty. When we finally got our food I regretted it right away. My hot chocolate still had undissolved powder and it wasn't hot at all. My pancakes were pure rubber it was actually hard for me to break it apart with my Fork. The waffles were very big but they were very toasted and it just crumbled apart. I can tell that this place has loyal customers but I cannot recommend this to anybody.
Why do people put food on their menu's that their cooks don't know how to make? I order huevos rancheros! That was an option on their regular menu and I got spaghetti sauce on top of scrambled eggs! Wow really? Not to mention that it came with a side of Green onions and pepperchinis. Never again going here.
Good food. Good service! Thanks Mickey! 😉
A regular favorite when we lived in the area, we used to eat here often on the weekends for breakfast. Pretty good sized portions and really good service, they always keep your coffee topped off. Weekend morning are usually busy so there might be a wait but it's worth it. Parking can be limited during those busy times too but there is some street parking nearby. It's been there a while so don't be fooled by the looks, I don't think the place has been remodeled in a long time but the service, food and price is right.
Good Service & great food . We enjoyed
We come here frequently. The food is great, the prices are fair, and the staff are all amazing !
I will start by saying it is my first time here and I was here on a sunday @ noon when I arrived it was busy. There were 3 people ahead of me on the waiting list. After 15-20 minutes of waiting I was called for a table. First we were offered coffee and the waiter immediately asked if we were ready to order which was great. After having placed our order it took roughly 30 minutes of waiting before our food came out. We were being cared for nonetheless by getting constant coffee refills. All in all the eggs and bacon were great but the hot cakes tasted a little undercooked from the inside. The coffee wasn't as hot as expected and the fries were crinkled fried which I personally am not a huge fan of. I gave the 3 stars because the service was fair but the food wasnt up to par. Pricing was not too bad it totaled up to $28.55 for 2 meals and a side of fries.
Chefs is a very nice place to eat. The food is always good. The service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. It is worth your time to give them a try if you haven't already tried them yet. They've been in business for a long time and treat you like family. Stop in some time you may make some new friends.
We go here every sunday, we love the breakfast menu
Chef's is a local diner offering a wide variety of homestyle foods including pies and other desserts. The staff is very helpful and the service is overall satisfying. Chef's is good for breakfast, lunch or dinner... You won't be disappointed.
Chefs has been around for a long time, and that's it's charm and a reason you should check it out. The staff is friendly, the prices are good, the portions are huge and the food is ok, definitely better than Denny's.Coffee kept flowing without me asking, we got a breakfast burrito and waffle combo. Another thing to look out for is the parking, there's some in the back but there's not much usually. Probably because a lot of families come here in separate cars.
Food is good staff is great one of my favorite places
Food was okay, Service was ok. The waiter was pleasent but seemed more interested in the regular customers. It was my first time there and I wasn't overly impressed. Kinda old fashion in decor and could use a good cleaning on the general surface of the place. But restaurant overall was clean for eating purposes. My lunch date suggested it so I trusted it. Wouldn't be my first choice if I'm in the area again. For what they charge, I'd think they'd update a little. But that's me.
Chef's is a family friendly restaurant. The menu is large, and at least 3 specials are offered as well. The employees try hard to make your experience a good one.
We love this coffee shop, their food is just like home cooking.
Home feel with service, nice waitress no one bothered you they just looked over if they noticed you were almost finished they then came by with your check BUT before they gave you the check they asked is there anything else, if yes they brought the item asked for then the check😊
Love this place, my granddaughters introduced me to this place when they were 6 and 7 there now 21 and 22. I no longer live dwn in L,A. But took a drive dwn the other day , and had breakfast . Love it, go early it can get busy.
I had really great service and the food was good.
What a great breakfast/lunch place, PLUS dinner. This what old fashioned good food is all about. Also, very resonable, & great service.
